When PriceSpider was founded more than 20+ years ago, our name made perfect sense.

Back then, we were a consumer tool built to crawl retail websites, compare prices and help shoppers find the best deal. We even launched a barcode-scanning app to make price comparisons easier. It was early innovation, built around one mission: make shopping easier.

 

But as the digital shelf expanded, we saw something bigger. After nearly a decade of monitoring shopping behavior and tracking product data across thousands of sites, we realized we could do more, not just for shoppers, but for the brands behind the products. That’s when we shifted gears and launched our Where to Buy technology, enabling brands to connect their shoppers directly with retailers through real-time pricing and availability. It was a game-changer.

For over two decades, we have helped brands enrich the consumer journey, empowering them with the tools, insights, and connections to drive more revenue and build stronger shopper relationships. We’ve grown alongside the ever-evolving commerce landscape, supporting brands through the rise of mobile, omnichannel, and retail media.

This past Prime Day, we saw GenAI-related traffic to U.S. retail sites increase by more than 3,300% year-over-year. That’s not just a signal, it’s a siren.
